This steel bottle opener reproduces the legendary Alfa Romeo four-leaved clover with the logo of our 50th anniversary engraved in the center. The idea was inspired on an Alfa gadget of the ‘60s found among Ignazio Giunti’s keepsakes. In 1966, the A.R. commissioned sculptor Giò Pomodoro with the creation of the annual Trophy that the brand offered all drivers who raced for it at the end of the year. The result was a red four-leaved clover on an aluminum support, a trophy which is on display today, together with the others, in the Museum in Arese or is in the hands of those drivers and of a few lucky collectors. With it, Giò Pomodoro also designed this original bottle opener, which was offered as a gift to the sports journalists of the time. The four-leaved clover, apart from being a symbol of good luck, is also one of the most beautiful symbols in Italian motor sports and it has marked all great Alfa victories since the 1923 Targa Florio (U. Sivocci) with the RL TF which, in the same year, also won the 1st Circuit of Cremona. Offered to all members on the occasion of the Assembly in Cremona, any member not present at the Assembly can send a request per email to receive it (upon payment of postal expenses), or can request it in the Secretariat or during our events.
